Craigellachie Distillery stands proudly in the heart of Speyside but makes no attempt to fit the region’s typical gentle profile. Built in 1891, it produces a bold, muscular single malt with an unmistakable sulphury, meaty character thanks to its use of worm tubs—an old-school cooling method rarely seen today. The result is a whisky with real backbone: rich, slightly smoky, and full of tropical fruit and spice. Craigellachie is a dram for those who like their whisky with attitude.
